 Located in the business districtof Hohola Hilton Port Moresby offers discerning corporate and meeting/eventguests a truly unique experience with 212 designer rooms including 48 suites,the exclusive Executive Floor accommodation and Lounge, the Kutubu ConventionCentre with a range of Event spaces from Boardroom style to Banquet space for800. In addition, a range of Dining venues including the signature MumuRestaurant and the top floor Summit Whiskey Bar. The hotel also features aHealth Club and outdoor swimming pool for relaxing at the end of a longdays. 

AsCommercial Director, serving Hilton brands manage,co-ordinate and plan for all departments within the Sales, Marketing and RoomsDivisions ensuring that they are effective and productive.  To ensure that guest expectations arecommensurate with the prices charged and that financial targets are achieve. To successfully fill this role,you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Preparation and planning forall guest room collateral including F.F. & E. and the ongoing replacementplans.

  • Set staffinglevels within the Sales and Rooms Division departments and ensure thatappropriate training levels of expertise are reached.

  • Ensure thatproper control procedures are in place.

  • Liaise withFinancial Controller for the maintenance of all sales in-house systems toevaluate performance.

  • Liaise withExecutive Chef to ensure food and beverage promotional material fits into the Hotel''sSales and Marketing Strategy.

  • Liaise with FrontOffice Manager and the Revenue Manager to maximise yield potential.

  • To be familiar with allcontracts and legal matters pertaining to Sales and Rooms Division or asdirected by the General Manager

  • To increase sales andactivity levels within the Resort especially in accommodation and conventionand meetings areas.

  • To ensure that any guestdissatisfaction or complaints are quickly and professionally remedied and thatappropriate action is taken to ensure that similar occurrences are minimised.

  • To develop and encourageprocesses to ensure that existing clients and guests return to the Hotel.

  • Ensure that a good andclose working relationship exists between all departments.

It would be advantageous in this positionfor you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/ managerial experience International Hotel Environment within Sales and Marketing and Rooms
  • Knowledge of Hotel Operations
  • Must be well organised and be able to prioritise. Must have a keen eye for detail.  Must have excellent communication and people interaction skills. To be able to work unsupervised.

This Position is an expatriate role.A Work permit/Visa process will be conducted for the right candidate and theapplicant must have the ability to gain legal rights to work in Papua NewGuinea.
