What will I be doing:

As Senior Manager of Hotel Openings & Transitions Americas, you will facilitate the hotel opening process for new construction, conversion hotels, and internal brand to brand changes for all Hilton brands, as well as the exit process for hotels that transition out of our system. This position may include team member supervision as well as ownership of complex and high profile opening projects. You will be the face of Hilton and manage relationships with owners, management groups and hotel level management to ensure that all required critical tasks are completed and hotels are set-up to achieve efficient performance upon joining our systems. You will represent the brand and the openings team and work with internal support teams, such as, Revenue Management, Architecture, Design and Construction, and eCommerce.

  • Facilitates all hotel opening critical & brand recommended task items through the use of the on-line hotel opening roadmap and supporting tools & documents
  • Direct the initialization of new hotels into Hilton Sales Worldwide, Brand Marketing, Global Distribution Management, Hilton Reservations Worldwide, Global Distribution Systems, Online Travel Agencies, and Honors
  • Individual must show flexibility and work in outstanding situations such as complex opening projects
  • Build impromptu solutions for new challenges
  • Act as liaison with Revenue Management Support for all hotels and ensures the website information is accurate and content is fully improved and sellable
  • Contribute to team procedures and programs to support opening process improvements and must effectively communicate with all constituencies

What are we looking for:

We seek a self-starter with outstanding project management and problem-solving skills. We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Superb time management & organization skills and the ability to handle thirty (30+) openings at once
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with all levels of management, including senior management
  • Project management skills with an aptitude for staying calm and effective and prioritizing responsibilities
  • Problem solving skills to effectively and creatively find solutions for hard problems while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Two (2) years of branded hotel experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Three (3) years of Management experience
  • 50% or more travel time, domestically and internationally

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5) years of experience with Hilton
  • Four (4) years of brand experience in hospitality
  • Additional language skills are preferred

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $81,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
