For the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam Towers we are looking for a Duty Manager fulltime per direct.

Job description
In the function of Duty Manager you are responsible for the operational state of business within the F&B Department (breakfast and bar), Housekeeping and Maintenance.
Within these departments you take care of the daily operation where your focus is on quality, hospitality, cleanliness, efficiency, coaching and management. In addition to these departments, you also utilize your knowledge and experience of the Front Office, where you act on an operational and management level in the absence of the relevant managers.

Main tasks and responsibilities
• Determining the right staffing within the F&B department, recruiting and selecting new employees, coaching and supervising the team, ensuring the correct working-in, conducting performance appraisals, and appraisal interviews
• Ensuring correct inventory management
• Coordinate and monitor the work within the three departments
• Checking rooms and public spaces
• Quality control/management of the hotel
• Point of contact for guests, including the handling of guest comments
• Contribute to improving the formula, quality and return
• Together with the Front Office Manager you are a member of the Management Team and you report to the General Manager.

About you

Job requirements:
• MBO diploma/HBO working and thinking level, preferably MHS/HHS or tourist training;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Communicative skills in Dutch and English
• You are living in the vicinity of the hotel or have your own transport

The hotel Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station belongs to the portfolio of The Vincent Hotel Group. This is the umbrella organization that has a total of 11 hotels and a head office (Support Office).

The company

The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG) is a Netherlands-based hotel operating platform. TVHG, currently operates 11 select-service hotel. The hotels are operated subject to franchise agreements with globally recognized hotel brands, namely Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton. The 11 assets benefit from an ideal geographical spread, with seven Hotels efficiently clustered in the Amsterdam metropolitan area and the others located in key regional centres in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Arnhem.

TVHG employs approximately 280 staff members, of which 40 are responsible for operations on a corporate level. Let me first introduce you to two of our hotels: Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk and Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South.

Holiday Inn Express Sloterdijk:
On the 14th of December 2011, the hotel Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station with 254 hotel rooms was opened. The hotel is located next to the Sloterdijk train station. This station has an easy connection to the public transport of Amsterdam and surroundings, so you are 10 minutes from the central station of Amsterdam, the station of Haarlem and Schiphol Airport.
Additionally, the hotel is located close to the A10 and A5 highway. Holiday Inn Express Sloterdijk features a business corner and offers inclusive breakfast and Wi-Fi.There is also opportunity to park, as long as there are enough places left for the guests. Growth is possible within the organization; if the correct behaviour is shown for this.

Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South:
In June 2012, the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South was opened featuring 80 hotel rooms. The hotel is located near the center of Amsterdam, the RAI and the Zuidas axis; an excellent location for both our business and tourist guests. A tram and metro stop is right next to the hotel so that both guests and staff can easily reach the hotel. In addition, there is ample parking around the hotel.
