At the moment we''re looking for Assistant Executive Housekeeper in the Housekeeping department to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at Holiday Inn Amman.
Holiday Inn- Amman was established in 1999; the hotel underwent a renovation in 2011 and was the 5 star Holiday Inn Hotel in. It is considered as one of the key hotels within IHG - EMEAA Hotels. The hotel is notable for the prime setting not far from gardens and hills as well as a mosque, a museum and a tower. The vicinity of a bus stop let you explore Children''s Museum and Roman Amphitheater with no difficulty. Holiday Inn Amman is only a 40-minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport. The 218 renovated rooms and suites are equipped with an array of modern amenities and latest technology. The Hotel has large F&B operation with a high contribution to the total Hotel revenue.
For meetings and conferences, the hotel is well equipped for hosting business and social gatherings of every description, with nine flexible and renovated function rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 1500 guests. Over 200 colleagues are committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury, quality and service which define the company.
As A you will be reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager and below are some of the key responsibilities:
§ Directs the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel
§ Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
§ Monitor Housekeeping personnel to ensure rooms, and particularly those of priority members, known repeat guests and other VIP’s receive special attention
§ Informs other operating departments of Housekeeping matters, which concern notably the Front Office, to ensure accurate room status, in addition to communicating with Engineering and the Laundry
§ Schedules routine inspections by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms
§ Inspects guest rooms in all Housekeeping areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurbished as required
§ Appraise appearance, discipline and efficiency of all staff under direct supervision and initiate immediate remedial action if necessary
§ Follows up on progress of agenda items covered in regular meetings
§ Ensures Housekeeping personnel are familiar with in house facilities for the purpose of assisting guests
§ Maintains a steady flow of communication to the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the Housekeeping Department
§ Supervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance
§ Ensures that consumption of guest supplies is under control
§ Assists in monitoring and controlling Housekeeping procedures including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and guests
§ Works with the Executive Housekeeper on routine cleaning programs including spring cleans, etc
§ Acts on behalf of the Executive Housekeeper in his / her absence as assigned
§ Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
§ Being attentive to Guests
§ Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
§ Anticipate Guests needs
§ Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
§ Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
§ Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
§ Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customer.
