Job description

Distribution Marketing Manager (international) is responsible for strategic development and creative execution of marketing initiatives relating to trade promotions, communication and education for the travel trade in targeted international source markets, in order to create awareness, build allegiance, and drive business results for Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) travel trade sales channels. Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead and implement effective trade marketing campaigns and administer allocated project spend to drive incremental sales and maximize awareness of HKDL products among the travel trade communities in the assigned international markets
  • Ensure successful launch of HKDL products by developing innovative tools to facilitate effective trade education, communications and promotion. These include but not limited to the production of multi-scaled trade events, point of sales materials, premium, websites, advertising resources and communication tools from concept to implementation by managing and working with various creative and production agencies
  • Leverage and bridge internal opportunities with different LOBs to create synergy; Ensure marketing messages are synchronized with internal LOBs and monitor all co-ops advertising campaigns and marketing communications materials to ensure message are streamlined and aligned
  • Lead and manage a team of subject experts, and delegate assignments to complete all the programs up to the leaders’ satisfactory level as set by the annual Sales and Distribution Marketing operating plan
  • Develop and sustain relationships with both key and external business partners including different LOBs and headquarter, travel agents, airlines, transportation companies, hotels and other tourism related organizations to foster a consistent support to HKDL products via collaborations and joint promotions
  • Collect market intelligence from trade partners and key stakeholders, conduct media evaluations and provide analyses/insights to facilitate development of trade marketing strategy and project assessments
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree holder in Arts or Science or related disciplines
  • 8 years or more relevant regional experience in marketing or advertising industry, preferably gained from tourism industry
  • Previous experience required in planning and implementing marketing programs across Asia Pacific regions will be an advantage
  • High level of interpersonal skills to interact and persuade both internal and external partners to uphold the business interest of the Sales organization and the Company
  • Ability to compose integrated sales and marketing plans, proposals, analyses, reports and advocate the marketing initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communications and presentation skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
