Hotel Consultant Analyst

Hosco Talent Search has been retained by a top consulting firm with offices in Helsinki for a Hotel Consultant / Analyst to join its consulting team.
The main responsibility of the consultant will be to conduct consultancy assignments throughout the Nordic region and internationally, to develop client relations and to promote our client's Valuation Services, Agency and other services.
Your tasks will be:
• Planning, executing and taking ownership of the key consultancy assignment components, including pre-fieldwork and planning, desk and field research, financial analysis, report writing & assignment completion;
• Working efficiently and managing a multiple range of projects to a high standard and with minimal supervision, juggling timescales, priorities and project lifecycles;
• Planning, requesting and managing the input of senior management and other functional & cross-functional colleagues and resources to ensure the delivery of each assignment;
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our client Consultancy operating procedures and practices;
• Developing and nurturing relationships with existing clients, and with new and potential clients in order to forge long term alliances and repeat business;
• Assisting in the pitching and selling of consultancy services and directly selling and securing consultancy assignments;
• Participation in marketing activities and producing marketing materials for the office
• Conducting administrative duties as assigned

About you
• BSc degree-level education, or equivalent; ideally in Hotel Management
• IT literate with excellent Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel;
• Very strong research & analytical management skills;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• A core / basic understanding of the Hotel market, key drivers and terminology;
• A 1 or 2 years’ professional experience as a Consultant or Analyst in a consultancy, real estate, hotel chain or investment environment
• Financial modelling skills and understanding of investment principles and analysis methods;
• Commercial acumen and understanding of the parties involved in hotel development and investment;
• Professional experience in hotel operating environment (ideally in a management role – front office, revenue management, marketing, finance)
• Full business proficiency in English, plus at least one other language: ideally Finnish or Swedish
