Operations Director (High End Cafe Brand)

Job Description

Reporting directly to the COO, this position will lead and manage, strategically and operationally, the activities, operations, resources and personnel of the Company’s Division, ensuring these supports, and are supported by, the activities of employees as required.


o To ensure complete understanding of the operation, brand philosophy of the Company as a whole
o To ensure that the business is operated to the highest standards in line with the mission statement and values
o To Ensure the operation comply with all statutory and legal requirements for health and safety, fire, licensing and food handling and ensure all team members are aware of and working in accordance with the food safety procedure
o To ensure compliance via regular audits and reviewing of action plans with mystery audits
o To represent our leading cafe Brand in local markets by identifying opportunities to position the Brand through community involvement, promotional, social and seasonal events
o To ensure that the SBUs operate with legality and conformity to established regulations


o 12-15 years of successful, high sales volume, operational, multi-unit management experience in multi-store retail/ F&B operations, development and operations
o Post-secondary education (e.g. a bachelor's degree or college diploma in the following: hotel management, logistics, supply chain management, operations management)
o Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, MIS, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
o Good communication skills in Arabic and English – spoken and written
o Leadership - Job requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
o Mathematics – Confident in arithmetic, reconciling invoices and accounts
o Possess the ability to adapt to varying cultures, work ethics and practices
o Be self-motivated and able to develop a result-orientated environment
o Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
o Dependability - Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
o Cooperation - Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude
o Ability to manage time efficiently and follow up to ensure the achievement of personal and multi store objectives
o Ability to train/ mentor others
o Ability to direct and supervise others
o Ability to cope under pressure
