About the job

• Strategic positioning, product development, sales and marketing of the hotel together with the Area MD and Service Offices.
• Lead and manage the hotel in all aspects.
• Staff selection, onboarding, management, motivation, career development and professional off boarding ensuring a positive employer brand.
• Ensure all operational standards are locally adapted, implemented, kept and regularly updated.
• Tight cooperation, communication and reporting with/to Area General Manager.
• Drive the budget planning process, ensuring implementation and compliance with the budget and driving and proactively monitoring of revenue and costs; including liquidity planning.
• Team training development with strong focus on excellent guest service and steady increase of guest satisfaction.
• Cost control, especially also pro-actively managing staff plans to optimize cost effectiveness.
• Professional staff management including effective performance management and continuous training and development of all staff members of the hotel.
• Supervision and control of duty roster, as well as optimization of internal processes in our hotel.
• Continuous guest contact and work on building a steadily growing pool of repeating guest .
• Professional complaints management by using all available technical platforms and programs.
• Responsible for achieving and maintaining the high quality standards in hotel operations by ensuring operational standards are implemented, kept and continuously developed.
• Ensuring all legal, fire police, accident, trade and security guidelines and standards are kept.
• Take measures for growing departmental revenues through upselling and cross-selling.
• Ensure people and career development of internal talents including employee appraisal for every hotel employee.
• Control and check in-house accounting, all administrative processes, and day- and month-end closures and inventory.
• Facilitate and support cooperation between hotel employees and service office employees of the individual departments.
• Build regional relationships with local stakeholders and company representative.
• Regular market benchmarks.
• Maintenance of property.

About you

• 5-10 years of General Management experience.

• Executive education in hospitality management.
• Strong hotel operations skills in all departments.
• Ideally: sales and marketing education and experience.
• Fluent in English, and ideally a 2nd language: German, Italian.
  • Languages required: English and Italian. German is a plus
