An Assistant Executive Steward is responsible for assisting in the direction and administration of stewarding operations to ensure designated food and beverage outlets have necessary supplies and equipment in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
As an Assistant Executive Steward, you will be responsible for overseeing all Banquet Stewarding, all Dishwashers and all Night Porters functions. Administrate the departments and ensure proper functioning. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist the Executive Steward with all department responsibilities.
Hires staff, disciplines staff, evaluates their performance and documents all aspects of employment.
Training programs, both group and individual to include hotel information, equipment use, cleanliness practices and safety.
Schedules Stewards, Dishwasher and Night Porters keeping payroll under control and ensures all job requirements are performed.
Attends management meetings and implement any required changes and information in the department.
Stores, maintains and replenishes all food and beverage equipment.
Evaluates and pre-plans for upcoming season. Looks at upcoming business and makes sure equipment levels and staffing are adequate.
Is responsible for the execution of all banquet events with equipment and food items.
Assists Banquet Manager in all aspects of banquet functions including set-up, operation and clean up of events.
Assists all outlets with staffing and equipment needs.
Makes sure all chemicals are properly handled.
Performs all reasonable duties as instructed by executive leadership.
Must have San Diego County Food handler''s card
Must be bilingual in Spanish
