Required: Must possess strong leadership, communication and guest interaction skills. Required to understand sales contracts, files, room inventories/categories, function space capabilities and have excellent planning and organizational skills. Must display the ability to understand basic financial concepts such as RevPar, GOP, and Yield Management. Must have extensive computer working knowledge of Delphi, HIS, Excel, and Word software programs.
What will I be doing?
Provides the managers of the Sales Department with administrative and clerical support and performing other general office duties and special projects as needed.
Contracts - Preparing and assisting with creation of client contracts through Delphi. Making sure accuracy and details are formatted correctly. Making all necessary to changes as needed.
Proposals— these can be very detailed and require patience. Also will aid and assist in checking on-line booking engines and assigning leads to managers and also responding on those sources.
Amenities & Gifts—filling out forms and following procedures for amenities and typing up cards to go with them, may also include choosing amenities for guests from our shops and having them mailed out
Sales Kits—assembling kits for mailings and trade shows.
Delphi Input & Maintenance—obtaining and entering group history, entering full bookings, meeting space, notes for managers, adjusting names and addresses, and looking up group information for other departments.
Email—check email throughout the day, as sales managers may forward an email from a client requesting info to be sent, etc. Email should be organized so that nothing is missed and so that you can easily reference past emails.
