Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Environmental Community Development Co., Inc.. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.



Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Generate Event Service introduction letter, communicate cut off and food and beverage minimum reminder letters and other client correspondence 
  • Managing and detailing all meetings/events. Respond promptly to all client correspondence, internal communication, resulting in documentation of all communication preferably within four hours
  • Held accountable for weekly appointments and meet all clients onsite to generate repeat business
  • Create and update Banquet Event Orders following established meeting space and catering sales guidelines, getting guarantees and changes from clients and distributing details accordingly
  • Attend BEO meeting and ensure all event details are properly communicated to support departments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Walk all set meeting space to ensure proper set up and all requirements per the Banquet Event Orders are ready for client
  • Ensure meeting signage and event boards are accurate
  • Meet and Greet on site contacts and confirm meeting, break and meal arrangements for the day
  • Meet, Greet, and Direct meeting attendees to proper locations
  • Develop knowledge of the competition to better aid in the solicitation of accounts and network with industry peers to increase referral business
  • Complete other duties as outlined by the Director Sales & Marketing
  • Comply with hotels Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook
  • Be completely knowledgeable of hotels emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management

  • Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times


  • Minimum of two years experience in hotel catering and conference planning. Additional experience in the hospitality industry i.e. sales an asset
  • Show off the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well groomed
  • Excellent customer skills, superior interpersonal skills, results-oriented and highly motivated
  • Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards
  • Basic mathematical skills to complete reports and points of scale
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Ability to work under time pressures and extensive hours
  • Be flexible since you are running a 24/7 hotel operation
