The hotel will boast 269 tastefully decorated rooms, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotels neighborhood story, the story of Dubai creek. Other facilities that our guests can expect include an infinity pool deck, fully equipped fitness center and our neighborhood café and bar, both offering seamless service and array of experiences reflecting this expressive neighborhood.
Your day to day
In a nutshell, as Stewarding Supervisor, You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all the items required and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. You will assist the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and all storage areas; specifically for cleaning all equipment, utensils, and the physical work area. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchens and utility work areas. You will be responsible for Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and other heavy kitchen equipment. You will operate the dish washing equipment to ensure that all culinary items are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation is maintained. You should have Knowledge of all chemicals used. You will Work in close cooperation with all kitchen and service colleagues. You will Perform all stewarding tasks as per given instructions.
What we need from you
Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is scheduled to open Q2 2020 and we are now seeking an experienced and lively Stewarding Supervisor to join our Culinary team. This person will be responsible to ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage in this vibrantly designed lifestyle hotel located in a key location in Dubai.
As the first lifestyle branded hotel of IHG in the Middle East, this exciting project really is something to be part of. This is a great opportunity for talented hospitality and Culinary professionals to step up in their career and experience a new challenge in a trendy lifestyle brand.
You'll report to the Chief Steward, and you’ll play a big role in supporting the overall success of the hotel.
The right fit for this role is someone who has solid hotel background with an energetic and fun personality. He/She should be passionate about people and hospitality. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential. If you are this person, we’d like to meet you.
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:
- Previous Steward Experience
- Good communication skills
- Team work
- Ability to work in a rotating shift and dynamic environment
- High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience
- At least 2 years experience in the same role
