About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the largest Premium Hotel in Australia, and be part of one of our busiest teams, where no two days are the same!

As the Events Assistant Manager, with the guidance and support of the Director of Events, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our events, as well as the day-to-day leadership and supervision of associates working in the department, ensuring that a high level of service is always maintained.

Responsibilities include:

  • Run the functions with full responsibility from start to finish 
  • Co-ordination of all aspects of the department’s operation ensuring that the services are delivered to guests with the aim of exceeding expectations in accordance with Hyatt Regency standards and procedures
  • Day to day leadership, supervision and management of associates working in the department
  • Fostering an open & supportive work environment

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a 5-star environment, either a large hotel or convention centre in a similar supervisory or leadership role within a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership abilities creating environments where associates can have fun, take pride in their work and reach their potential
  • Proven ability to handle complaints
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Effective customer service skills and ability to think outside the box
  • Availability across 7 days and willing to work a rotating roster
  • A current valid RSA card
