Job description

The Business Transient Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center serves as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who need hotel accommodations, guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc. Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits and answers questions, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts and analyzes lost business for the hotel. Develops sales plans and strategies to meet and exceed established revenue and room night goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. As a key member of the hotel''s sales team, the Group Sales Manager will need to be a driven, vibrant and creative professional with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude that is committed to ensuring that each group experience at the Hyatt is a masterpiece and memorable success. The successful applicant will be tasked with elevating the experiences of our group business and executing programs from start to finish.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive hotel Sales experience required
  • Hyatt hotel experience is highly desirable
  • IAAC conference center selling experience highly desirable
  • Proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits
  • Track record of consistency in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Analyze statistics and develop/implement sales strategies to identify key areas, problems and success rates
  • Execute reporting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Research and develop markets
  • Foster current account relationships for repeat business
  • Ability to focus on the big picture as well as individual results
  • Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices and pre-established guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain active and visible position in the local community and industry
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
