Along with the Head Chef and Sous Chef you will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International''s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations.
The Chef de Partie is jointly responsible for the operation of the Kitchen, ensuring that all the outlets and events operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel, and that they are individually profitable. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that all chefs within the Kitchen are working productively. Along with your roles as an operational Chef, ensuring the brand standards are maintained, you will also assist with the day to day administration of the department, dealing with any associate issues and queries, and to deputise in the Sous Chef''s absence. You will ensure that all Chef''s are actively engaged in their roles and will assist to maintain motivation in the department.
You will work on a shift rota basis, on a 48 hour a week contract. Due to the nature of the business, particularly during busy periods, you will be expected to work overtime when required.
With previous experience as a Chef de Partie looking for a new challenge or a strong Demi Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards; preferably with experience in luxury international brands. Qualifications in Kitchen Production (e.g. NVQ in Food Preparation or equivalent) will be required. Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential. Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
