The Hyatt Shared Service Center (HSSC) provides accounting support for over 150 Hyatt Hotels in North America and South America. Some of the accounting functions are: billing customer service, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales and use tax, payroll, and treasury. However, the functions the Hyatt Shared Service Center supports continues to grow.

This Human Resource Manager will have hands on experience in Human Resources and be versed in the areas of benefits, workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, colleague and labor relations, workforce training and development, colleague counseling and local diversity initiatives.  This position will manage the HSSC Human Resources team and the day to day operations of the Human Resources office.  The HR Manager will report to the Assistant Human Resources Director (AHRD). This person must have the ability to run a human resource office in the AHRD’s absence. The Human Resources function prides itself on excellence, service, integrity and accountability. 
Essential Functions
  • Contribute to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Uphold compliance with state and federal regulations and support company Diversity initiatives including Hyatt’s Affirmative Action practices
  • Support team development by identifying skill gaps and training needs
  • Conduct performance development meetings and provide coaching as necessary to HSSC HR team
  • Work with leadership to resolve colleague relations issues
  • Conduct colleague relations investigations as necessary
  • Assist leadership with colleague performance and development meetings including terminations
  • Manage recruiting for direct and temporary staffing needs including but not limited to interviewing, posting jobs, meeting Affirmative Action requirements, E-verify administration, and applicant tracking system reporting
  • Seek viable candidate sourcing options and assist all departments with workforce planning, and analyze hiring data to seek opportunities for improvement
  • Use a combination of recruiting techniques to attract, evaluate, network and hire successful candidates
  • Evaluate job descriptions and contact department management when updates are necessary
  • Represent Hyatt at local networking and recruiting events
  • Manage VISA and PERM process requirements for select employees working with legal team to ensure all data is accurate and reported
  • Regular attendance is expected based on schedule and business needs
  • Participation in colleague events, onsite meetings, and industry conferences is expected
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 3 years HR generalist experience
  • 3 year HR and people management experience
  • 1 year experience recruiting
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  •  HR Certification a plus
  •  1 year working experience with an HRIS
  • 1 year Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Some travel required
