About the job

Main responsibilities
 Read the Housekeeping Log-book prior to starting work and to be aware of the daily
arrivals, departures, conferences & in-house events, especially VIP & regular guest
arrivals, and to ensure that all staff in the appropriate Housekeeping sections are fully
informed, too, and that all VIP & regular guest treatment is carried out appropriately.
 To check the assignments & worksheets prepared for all Room Attendants and to
schedule
 room Attendant’s duties for the day
 Carry out pre- and post shift briefings with his/her staff and to highlight all areas of
concern and matters of importance.
 Be aware of all special room assignments and other special requests, e.g. baby cots,
etc...And to ensure they are followed up & fulfilled as requested by the guest.
 Maintain the effective key control and to ensure every Room Attendant arriving
for work signs the attendance register and key control logbook.
 Ensure that the cleaning of departure & stay-on rooms is prioritized according to the
hotel’s occupancy & guest movements and to liaise closely with Front Office to ensure
that sufficient Inspected rooms are available at all times and that special room request
are met.
 Close coordination of efforts, prioritization, hands-on assistance and quality control to
ensure that rooms are returned to service with peak efficiency.
 Training of line staff in use of chemicals and effective bacteriological sanitation.
Coaching and shadowing trainees.
 Ensuring that scheduled maintenance, mattress turns and similar are completed when
due. Providing acquittals of work done for verification. Adhering to deadlines.
 On-the-job training focusing on privacy, personal safety, efficient room make up, detail and quality control.
Spot checks of work-in-progress and assistance where required. Careful review of VIP
rooms.
 Extra vigilance in checking for maintenance issues, especially light bulbs, drips and
leaks, sc Guest liaison including delivery of requests, and active guest communications
to assess levels of satisfaction with rooms.
 Handle guest complains, comments, problems, and request in a professional &
efficient manner and to ensure that all important matters are brought to the attention of
the Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper.
 Ensure that Front Office & Reservations regularly receive information about the
accurate & up-to-date house status of rooms.
 Check all rooms & corridors cleaned on his/her floors daily to ensure that the hotel’s
quality standards are maintained and to ensure that all outstanding issues are rectified
immediately.
 Ensure that all lost & found items are passed on the HK order takers daily and if any
valuable items are found, are kept in the notice of Assistant Executive Housekeeper or
Executive Housekeeper immediately.
 Check the work of all Room Attendants at shift-end to see that all tasks assigned have
been completed satisfactorily and all equipment has been cleaned & stored correctly.
 Inspect rooms & update their status in OPERA according to arrival & departure
patterns and departmental standards through the telephone interface.
 . Check all Room Attendant’s trolleys regularly to make sure that sufficient equipment
and
 Supplies are available and that the trolleys are kept clean & tidy.
 Ensure that the department’s Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times
and to assist in updating them when needed.
 Ensure the section undergoes PPM at least once a year and regular maintenances are
sorted out before next arrivals
 Participate in the coaching and training of all Housekeeping staff and to make sure that
all Room Attendants attend all mandatory training sessions.
 Participate in Housekeeping inventory checks and providing accurate data for the
inventory and avoid any manipulation or mistakes.
 Hand-over any outstanding matters and other important information to the incoming
Supervisor orally or via appropriate records left in the departmental log-book at shift end.

About you

Male/Female
Bachelor in Hotel & Restaurant Management or any related course
Good English Communication Skills
At least 2 years relevant experience in the same field in a 4* or 5* hotel
Can join immediately
  • Language required: English. Russian is a plus
