Communications Manager, Germany – Communications Team
Based in Frankfurt



Are you an experienced Communications Manager? Do you enjoy working within a fast-paced, global environment?

Reporting into the Head of EMEAA Communications, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the corporate communications plan. This includes focusing on enhancing IHG’s company profile with corporate media across the



The role consists of developing a new corporate communications strategy for the German market whilst aligning the positioning of senior internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Raising and protecting IHG’s reputation
• Creating and developing messaging, briefing and media materials for the German market
• Being the key contact for crisis management queries, including liaising with hotels, media and other stakeholders
• Establishing and maintain strong media relationships with relevant contacts, including agency management, Owners and potential investors
• Engaging and building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting internal communications by drafting content and managing logistics for face-to-face engagement events.




What we’re looking for:
You will have excellent writing skills in German and English, as well as 5 years’ experience of public relations/media experience. You will have strong proven experience of working within a complex business with the ability to manage stakeholders with varying needs. Similarly, you will can influence at all levels, including senior management.


The ideal candidate will have experience of working within internal communications, preferably n an international and global level. Similarly, you will can act quickly on your own judgement, demonstrating a strong initiative.


You will have excellent project management skills, with the ability to think creatively with the strategic know how to drive projects forward. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be proficient to act independently, prioritising activity. However, you will also enjoy working as a part of a team.
