The Business Reputation and Responsibility (BRR) team are searching for an experienced Director of Learning & Development (L&D) to join their team, reporting to the VP Risk & Control Advisory. Our BRR team is responsible for Governance, Risk, Compliance and Legal.
The role will involve directing the team’s L&D approach, aligning all pillars to one single L&D agenda. This role will not be delivering training; it will focus more on the overall L&D plan for the department.
You’ll provide consultation and coaching to Governance, Risk, Compliance and Legal specialists, enabling them to meet annual goals and build capability across hotel and corporate colleagues.
You will be responsible for budgets, processes, systems, external vendors, measurement, and delivery calendars to optimise effectiveness and efficiency.
Representing BRR, you will work with other L&D specialist in our global, regional and functional teams, to influence IHG’s strategic approach to L&D across the business.
• Setting the commercial plan for the delivery of the department’s L&D.
• Consulting with internal and external L&D providers.
• Monitoring and investigating opportunities for continuous enhancement of L&D capabilities.
• Providing periodic updates on strategic execution to internal stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 year’s relevant industry or post-qualification experience. This will include experience in L&D delivery within a complex and dynamic business environment.
Similarly, you’ll be able to grasp complex business issues and develop and present innovative and practical solutions. As well as an operational understanding of governance, risk and compliance and its practical application in complex organisations (including third party arrangements).
You will have proven experience in the design and delivery of effective L&D and recent experience of a similar role in a large organisation.
You will have excellent facilitation and presentation skills, including the ability to impact and influence senior management.
