The Finance Operations Team are searching for a pro-active Director, Finance Operations Europe to join their team. You’ll be working alongside a fantastic team and join one of the biggest hotel companies in the world at our Frankfurt office.

The role:
This role is primarily focused on providing finance leadership in our hotels and commercial leadership in operations, to support growth within our European region.

 

 

The ideal candidate will be fluent German speaker and able  read and write accordingly. You will be a key business partner to hotel general managers and area managers within Germany, providing efficient financial business support, including hotel investment planning within leased hotels.

 

 

 

 

Key responsibilities:
• Accountable for financial reporting, statutory requirements and asset management of the leased hotels in Germany
• Contribution to the coordination and delivery of investment projects
• Ownership and responsibility over financial results delivery and profit maximisation
• Development of our Finance Teams to grow the talent pipeline an embed a winning culture
• Collaboration with key internal senior stakeholders and external interfaces, including Owners, asset managers, external auditors and industry specialists.

 

 

 


What we’re looking for:
You will be fluent German speaker and able to efficiently carry out German financial reporting and statutory requirements for leased properties. You will have key knowledge surrounding finance, budgeting and accounting processes.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. You will be a natural leader with demonstrated experience of leading, engaging and developing people.

 

 

You will have a strong understanding of the hospitality business and IHG as an organisation. As well as possessing the ability to evaluate and understand a variety of internal and external economic issues to forecast future business trends for IHG and develop effective financial plans.
