Your day to day

Job Summary –

Develop marketing strategies, annual marketing plans, budget, and 3-5 year strategic plans to strengthen the product positioning and the portfolio’s commercial objectives. Serve as champion and guardian of key initiatives to drive growth and development of IHG Army Hotels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Deliver enterprise leading expertise in the articulation of the target guest for IHG Army Hotels. Develop critical learning objectives, and lead quantitative and qualitative analyses that deliver industry-leading insights in the demographic profile, current/future needs and motivations, as well as drivers of bookings and satisfaction for guests
  • Provide critical thought leadership to shape the portfolio’s core proposition, including marketing strategies, annual marketing plans, and 3-5 year strategic plans utilizing multi-channel CRM tools (web, SEM, CRO, mobile, social)
  • Develop marketing campaigns focused on brand awareness, guest acquisition and retention, and ROI
  • Identify and address areas of weakness in guest lifecycle – including CRO and web functionality, negative trends in guest satisfaction survey and 3rd party reviews, and loyalty metrics support
  • Deliver primary leadership to key agency and internal partners in the strategic and tactical delivery of integrated marketing planning (including campaign design and prioritization), program and brand development, execution, and performance management
  • Act as brand steward inside IHG to drive marketing agenda and drive prioritization of projects
  • Oversee and steward insightful performance analyses including key brand health metrics, trends in guest demands, price/value perceptions, competitive assessment, and impact of marketing investment
  • Manage team of marketing professionals focused on the execution of interactive marketing campaigns, hotel opening events, tradeshows, corporate responsibility initiatives, brand operations support, marketing collateral (print, video, digital), and PR
  • Coach and develop team members – hire, fire, assess, discipline, document performance, recommend salary and classification changes.
  • Provide support, collaboration, and thought leadership to owner group and DoD leadership team
  • Manage marketing budget – establish goals, performance standards, and operating procedures. Maintain and monitor marketing spend against budget, ensuring the continual maximization of dollars spent to brand priorities
What we need from you

Education-

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience

 

Experience-

10 years progressive marketing experience with demonstrated proficiency in brand management and digital marketing in a global, multi-brand environment, as well as 5-7 years managing teams and/or significant complex projects. Significant strategic agency management experience and proficiency required. Strong interactive marketing and brand development experience preferred.

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstrated effective and/or persuasive verbal and written communications skills to provide information to clients, vendors, senior management, and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and strategic planning process
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective brand marketing and/or channel marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret research data on consumer preference and market trends
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing a marketing program budget and allocating budget resources to maximize impact
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and support direct reports
