We are currently looking for a Global Account Market Director based in our Sydney office.
This role is responsible for supporting, in designated markets, IHG’s global account portfolio to maximize, outbound, inbound and domestic B2B opportunities through planning and execution of Global Account strategies to increase account demand for room nights, drive incremental revenues, and target market share growth for all brands/hotels..
Reporting to the Director of Business Travel based in Asia and locally liaising with the Director of Regional Sales, Australasia and you will work hand in hand with all of the Regional Sales Team, Global Sales Teams.
You will act as “‘owner” of the account for account contacts within Australasia. This also includes identifying and cultivating new account relationships, enabling a cohesive, aligned and self-contained global account management solutions.
To be successful in your application, you will bring with you a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a multi-unit senior sales role within the hospitality industry or a leading Australian national corporation. You will currently hold an internationally recognised Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or Hospitality Management.
You will display a demonstrated ability to maintain and instill relationships with international and regional clients, promoting multi hotel brand and destinations. This combined with your superior expertise in sales principles and techniques and knowledge of the local and international markets will set you up for success. Exceptional client management, problem solving, effective communication, negotiation and organization skills are essential.
A proven ability in growing and developing sales talent and driving results through your team is essential.
