We are looking for a Senior Sales Associate to join our Global Sales Support Centre!
The Senior Sales Associate provides support and assistance with the coordination and execution of sales activities to deliver and maximize team revenue and performance. This may include working with a team of region-based Sales Coordinators, Sales Associates and Key Account Directors (KADs) as well as other internal and external stakeholders. Account portfolios will potentially cover all sectors and segments. The scope of this role will include total account management, focusing on communication with hotels, RFP setup and support and Groups and Meetings lead monitoring and conversion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Liaison with Hotels and stakeholders for information and support on KADs accounts.
o First point of contact for hotels, travel agents and other key stakeholders globally when seeking information and advice relating to managed accounts.
o Assist in the compilation of reports and presentations for the team and the client.
o Find optimum ways to communicate, escalate and resolve issues, complaints and opportunities with KAD.
o Compose clear and concise correspondence.
o Respond to enquiries from clients, hotels and other sales regions to promote growth of the business.
o Create and maintain databases such as the UK&I Microsite.
Lead Fulfillment, Execution and Conversion
o Work with KADs to track and monitor Groups and Meetings and Tour segment bookings.
o Create customized system for lead dissemination, tracking and filing.
o Fulfills and where possible exceeds customer expectations in the conversion of their enquiries into an IHG-branded hotel with a focus on generating the best levels of revenue.
o Where first choice property is not available, cross-sell the customer to another IHG-branded property.
o Ensure accurate and timely capture of pertinent data into the required sales systems.
o Develop and deliver the relevant and appropriate documentation to clients and hotels.
o Ensure the timely follow-up and pursuit of business with clients and stakeholders in order to drive the highest level of conversion.
o Ensure the accurate and timely communication of the status and pertinent information of potential bookings to the KAD and recipient hotel.
KAD Account RFP Accountability
o Work with KADs to handle all administrative aspects of RFPs.
o Communicate with hotels, ensuring that timely responses and feedback is given.
o Work with hotels to provide guidance and resolve questions and issues with RFPs.
Dedicated support to Key Account Directors (KADs) and their Accounts
o Research, compile and analyze a variety of moderately complex data for reporting.
o Generate and analyze statistical data and sales reports to help KAD strategically plan IHG’s hotels key position with the Key accounts programs in order to increase share of wallet.
o Prepare and distribute a variety of reports, presentations, newsletters, studies and/or other support documentation which may involve gathering and summarizing information from various sources.
o Analyze and identify trends in systems, data and processes. Suggest action plans to maximize processes and efficiencies for teams.
o Provide feedback to drive account production and identify best practices.
o Provide ad hoc deep dive analysis for specific business problems.
