Your day to day

Provide financial leadership to create and protect value in the Americas Region.

Position located:  Atlanta, GA [Ravinia Office location in Dunwoody] this is not a remote position. 

Key Accountabilities –

  • Shape and enable the delivery of Franchise, Army & Extended Stay strategy through strong financial leadership, ensuring funds and resources are deployed effectively to drive required results
  • Lead delivery of effective and appropriate financial support to Franchise, Army & Extended Stay Operations to drive improvement in business performance through direct and indirect reports
  • Deliver financial analysis to shape key business decisions, investments, and strategic projects
  • Lead delivery of effective hotel revenue compliance process to protect IHG revenue and fees, ensuring sound governance and controls
  • Deliver sound governance and controls, ensuring SOX compliance and clean audit(s)
  • Responsible for department budget, OPEX, CAPEX and P&L
  • Shape and enable the delivery of Americas Finance strategy through strong functional leadership
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high performing team of Finance Business Partners

Key Shared Accountabilities –

  • Delivery of Franchise, Army & Extended Stay strategic Priorities (System Size, RevPAR / RGI, Brand transformation)
  • Delivery of Franchise, Army & Extended Stay Operations targets
  • Franchise, Army & Extended Stay Operations overhead costs

Key Interfaces –

  • CFO Americas, SVP US/CA Franchise, VP Army & Extended Stay
  • VP Investment Analysis, VP Commercial, VP Americas FP&A, Legal Team
  • VP Group Internal Audit
  • Key External interfaces: Owners and Asset Managers, Industry Specialists, Banks, External Auditors
What we need from you

Educational Attainment –

  • Bachelors degree in business or related field; MBA preferred

Critical Expertise & Experience –

  • Approximately 10 years experience with significant experience leading cross-functional teams, driving strategic change, and challenging & communicating with senior leadership in a complex matrix organization
  • Hotel operations Finance experience, with preference for operations, food & beverage, hospitality experience
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and influencing skills to sustain high impact relationships with key stakeholders for delivery of results
  • Ability to effectively balance delivery of short term results with stewardship of the business and sustaining longer term competitive advantage

Direct Reports:  4-5

Travel:  approximately 25-30%

Owns –

  • Sign-off on Franchise RevPAR and Royalty Forecasts
  • Sign-off on Hotel Budgets & Forecasts
  • CSA assessments
  • Americas Hotel Revenue Compliance Audit
  • Sign-off on financial analysis, including business cases / NPV

Influences –

  • Resource and spend decisions to manage cost challenges and enable in-year prioritization
