The role:




You’ll be providing strategic leadership for global marketing shared services, focused on creating and delivering scalable and efficient marketing solutions for priority IHG markets.




This position will have responsibility of the execution of brand campaigns and production of marketing assets and managing 5-8 direct reports and a team of indirect reports.


Key responsibilities:


  • Champion IHG’s global marketing shared services strategy in supported regions

  • Own global strategy for all language, translation and transcreation needs. 

  • Partner with key teams within marketing for tactical execution and delivery of related activities.

  • Define and execute a balanced investment between short term trading needs and medium / long term brand building improving owner value, in alignment with leads.

  • Lead regional digital marketing COE and marketing shared services hub, including media planning/ buying, campaign management and multichannel marketing.

  • Oversee supported regions’ campaign management, paid media, omni-channel marketing, creative and content which support Category and Brand Leads in executing integrated, holistic marketing campaigns.

  • Oversee process within supported regions for receiving and executing on prioritised briefs from Category, Brand, and Commercial Leads globally.

  • Oversee business unit field marketing efforts delivering annual business plans driving high ROI marketing in key markets; leverage all Management estate hotel-level Marketing budgets to extend above property efforts. 

  • Maintain influence over Franchise hotel Marketing budgets.

  • Manage marketing agency relationship management to drive improvements in quality, performance, and cost.

  • Oversee execution of campaigns; manage overall quality and service to Category, Brand, and Commercial Leads

  • Leverage real-time performance data and analytics to optimise marketing ROI.

  • Lead the team’s annual staffing, expense, and capital budgeting process.

  • Ownership of the EMEAA business units and related accountabilities within each (paid, earned, owned).

  • Manage owner relations and IHG Owners Association relationships in market. 


What we’re looking for:


You’ll have a bachelors or Master’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience with demonstrated commercial success in Marketing and Digital in addition to managing a shared services in a matrix and global organisation.



Also, you’ll have experience in building and leading highly-effective globally-dispersed teams and inspiring teams to achieve challenging agendas. This will be coupled with the ability to lead a community of cross-functional stakeholders.



To be successful in the role, you must have deep expertise in using a data-centric approach to Marketing (e.g. programmatic) in addition to experience working with Marketing Technology solutions and a strong knowledge of data privacy laws.
