Kirkton Park Hotel Hunter Valley is looking for a Full Time Wedding & Event Executive to join our team.

Located in the heart of Pokolbin, our stunning property is set on 70 acres of rural surroundings, including manicured gardens and a vegetable garden complete with pigs, chickens and picturesque surroundings. Our journey is expanding in 2019 so now is the perfect time to be part of this amazing property!

 

This role will be predominantly based on a Tuesday - Saturday roster. Candidates will need to have the flexibility to work on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays in conjunction with designated sales activities or large events.

Your day to day

As a member of our Sales & Marketing Team, you will be responsible for connecting our clients and hotel operations. You''ll take full responsibility for planning and executing all weddings and social events (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, High Tea’s, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve) coordinating with operations and the client during the event to ensure its success. You will also undertake associated follow up with the client after the event to gain feedback and discuss repeat business.

 

You will also be responsible for driving the attraction and conversion of new wedding and social business into the hotel, which will include attending expo’s and events to promote the hotel.

Our Meeting & Events operation is unique and diverse so if you’re looking for a role that will give your exposure to Day Meetings, Gala Dinners, Weddings, Bonfire Experiences & Outdoor Catering then this is the role for you!

 

Most importantly you will be a true brand and local Hunter Valley ambassador in everything you do!

What we need from you

For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who:

  • You''ll be an approachable person and have a real passion for providing connecting and seamless service to ensure a memorable guest experience
  • Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality
  • A minimum 2 years’ experience in a Wedding and/or Meetings & Events capacity within Australasia, with a proven track record of success
  • Proactive approach to conversion, developing and maintaining strong relations with bridal parties, clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to keeps abreast of changes and assesses trends in market conditions, competitor feedback and consumer buying behaviour to create strategies that drive conversion opportunities
  • A strategic and tactical thinker who can establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time
  • Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality
  • Superior communication skills
  • Detail orientated
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays in conjunction with designated sales activities or large events
  • You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country
