Your day to day

Perfectly positioned on the edge of the iconic Hayman® Pool, Aqua takes poolside relaxation to new heights with easy-to-share dishes with a hassle-free yet refined approach with all the classics and cocktails as accompaniments. Adding a passionate and worldly leader who can bring the service, vision and InterContinental Life alive in these exciting new venues is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences. This key role will support the Director of Restaurants & Bars in bringing the food and beverage guest journey on the island to life.

 

You will assist in driving the team to deliver the exceptional service that will bring the InterContinental Life alive. Reporting to the Director of Restaurants and Bars, you will play a key role in developing the your  team to create a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and upskilling them to ensure they are highly engaged, deliver results and know how to truly deliver luxury in the food and beverage space.

 

This role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Restaurants and Bars to manage the team and the day to day of the bar. From managing guest feedback and driving revenue creation opportunities to team training and seeking enhancements around service and ways of working – this role will be pivotal in ensuring the bar operations are effective and efficient and guest service is unrivalled.    

What we need from you

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience both in hospitality leadership working in a resort or hotel restaurant environment. You will have demonstrated capability in delivering high end customer service and also have an understanding around financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with proven ability to deliver on set targets. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. The willingness to explore new ways of working and an open minded around how we can drive the Resort forward and deliver unrivalled guest journeys will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must.

 

Previous exposure to a remote island environment would be a plus. However if you’re an organised and confident food and beverage professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion for bringing the InterContinental Life alive, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.
