We love people who apply the same amount of care and passion to their jobs as they do to their hobbies - people who help us create great hotels guests love.   At the moment we''re looking for an Junior Executive Sous Chef to join our enthusiastic and energetic team at InterContinental Bali Resort.   This role assists the Executive Chef to manage all kitchen operations including Stewarding operations with an emphasis on maintaining hygienic standards and practices, staff training, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of a consistent food product which meets customer''s expectations.  You''ll be diligent and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.   The successful candidate will be a hands on leader with the ability to positively coach and motivate the team to success.  At  InterContinental Bali Resort, our people are our strength, a leader in the Kitchen with this same philosophy will build to our reputation of being the most preferred employer in Jakarta. Your day to day

Ideally, you''ll have Degree or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field. What we need from you

College/University degree in Culinary or hotel management Minimum 5 years experience of leading the kitchen Division departments (abroad as well) or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of  HACCP, hygiene standard audit, food costing. Dynamic and enthusiastic personality, Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia Language oral and written, Very good communication and organisational skills, Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills, Precise, reliable, flexible, able to work quickly and in shifts.

What we offer

In this role you will oversee Japanese Kitchen and all other kitchen functions, schedule, plan, assign work, develop and communicate departmental strategies and goals and ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. You will assist in managing hotel revenue generation and maximisation through full utilisation of company systems, business processes and specifications. Ensure that guest satisfaction data is analysed and that plans are developed and implemented to achieve established goals.
