Housekeeping Supervisor
• Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Supervise Housekeeping staff including GRA’s, Laundry Attendants, House Aides, and Public Area Attendants. Complete schedule.
• Complete inventory, ordering, and daily payroll as directed.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training existing associates according to the Certification Program.
• Resolve routine associate issues as needed and bring issues to the attention of the Department Manager as necessary.
• Practice safety standards always and keep the property safe for guests and fellow associates.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale. Treat people with respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Front Office
• Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Give a warm and sincere greeting. Check the guest in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner. Use the guest’s name at least twice. Anticipate the guest’s needs and exceed their expectations. Give the guest a fond farewell/warm good-bye. Thank them and invite them back
• Always answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and answer questions accordingly or transfer as needed.
• Open and close shift correctly. Make cash drops in accordance with proper cash handling procedures.
• Effectively operate the hotel computer system or property management system upon certification.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, hotel services, hours of operation, room locations, room rates, amenities, hotel surroundings (i.e. mall, restaurants, and medical facilities).
• Monitor room availability, selling strategies, discounts and frequent guest program benefits.
• Communicate properly and effectively with the guest, associates, and managers. Effectively respond to and resolve guest complaints.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Food & Beverage
• Provide high quality service to all guests
• Complete all necessary set up, side work and closing duties as assigned
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnish, contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way.
• Take guest orders correctly, read the order back to the guest and ring orders correctly into Micros.
• Make sure check is presented correctly, free from errors and in a timely manner.
• Promote teamwork and friendly safe work environment
• Any other reasonable duties required
• To make conversation with guests and create a personal connection
Culinary
• Perform kitchen duties including, but not limited to, peeling and cutting fruits & vegetables, assisting with banquet plate up, delivering food items for functions to various areas in the hotel
• Keep work station clean and organized
• Adhere to standardized recipes to maintain consistency and meet standards
• Keep food waste to a minimum
• Work with chefs to ensure daily objectives are met
• Ensure work station has proper level of stock and supplies
• Ensures all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with food safety guidelines
• Complete other job duties as assigned

About you

Eligibility criteria for the J1 Internship/Traineeship program:

- Enrolled in a post-secondary education in the hospitality industry

OR

- Hospitality Degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (outside of the USA)

OR

- 5 years of relevant work experience (outside the USA)
  • Language required: English.
