Isleworth is located in 600 tranquil acres near to Windermere in the heart of the lakes, which lie in profusion a few miles to the southwest of downtown Orlando. You’ll find Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill a mile to the southeast and it was The King and his partner Ed Seay who originally designed the course at Isleworth Golf & Country Club. Opening for play in 1986, the course at Isleworth is the centrepiece for one of the nation’s premier residential communities and home to a plethora of famous golfing names. Steve Smyers completed a multimillion-dollar course redesign in 2004, which resulted in a tougher, longer and considerably more interesting layout.

Description of the Location:
Windermere is a town in Orange County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 2,462. It is part of the Orlando Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town has a total area of 1.57 square miles (4.07 km2), of which 1.56 square miles (4.03 km2) is land and 0.015 square miles (0.04 km2), is water.

Description of the Training:
Step into the kitchen of a world-leading luxury hotel/resort and learn from the best chefs in the American hospitality industry at the Isleworth Country Club. Through the J-1 program, you will rotate to different stations, acquiring the skills and techniques necessary to take the culinary world by storm. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience needed to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Description of the Position:
Train in all areas of Culinary, including, but not limited to, Banquets, Pastry and Outlet kitchens:
• Learn to ensure high quality and consistency of food preparation and presentation as per Hotel’s standards;
• Welcome guests and colleagues in a polite and friendly manner;
• Train with Chefs across multiple kitchens to perform tasks as needed;
• Learn various Culinary tasks within each kitchen;
• Ensure compliance of all Hotel's standards;
• Learn to strive to achieve departmental targets;
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas;
• During training, ensure to be in compliance with all Hotel's health and safety policies;
• Perform all other reasonable duties as needed.

About you

• Conversational English required;
• Must be a current student of a Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution;
• Or recent graduate (less than 12 months ago) of a Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution;
• Or a graduate of a Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution (more than 12 months ago,) with 12 months of verifiable related work experience;
• Or must have 5 years of verifiable related work experience.

• Positive attitude;
• Good communication skills;
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service;
• A polished and professional appearance and compliance with Hotel grooming standards;
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
• Ability to work calmly while meeting deadlines.
