About the Job:

 

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Director of Security to join our Security team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower & Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel

 

The main purpose of the Assistant Director of Security role includes but is not limited to:

 

Deputise under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Security (and within the limits of The Jumeirah Carlton Tower & Lowndes Hotels Policies and Procedures and The Jumeirah Group Security Department),

 

The role is responsible for:

 

- the general daily control of fire procedures

- prevention

- protection of life safety and security of colleagues

- guests and property.

The role also assists the Director of Security with the running of the department in all areas including:

 

-training

-people management

-people development

-policy implementation

-procedural accountability.

The Assistant Director of Security should be flexible in their working hours to cover the needs of the business within his/her 40hrs per week schedule. 

About you:

 

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Director of Security will have the following skills and experience:

 

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the a 4* or 5* hotel
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Previous experience in training and development
  • Experience in dealing with guests and members of the public
  • Presentable, confident and personable with all contacts
  • Ability to handle conflict in a personable manner
  • Ability to handle unplanned events and incidents with a calm approach
  • Energetic with a good pace of work
  • Ability to undertake irregular hours with full flexibility

Desirable

  • Police/Military background
  • SIA Licensed
  • To be familiar with the local and hotel licensing requirements in order to ensure conditions within the licence are met and maintained.
  • Advanced First Aid trained
  • Level 4 Health and Safety In The Workplace qualification
