About the Job:

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Sales to over see the hotels sales team for a fixed term period of 6 months here at Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

 

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Attainment of hotel revenue and market share goals at Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel

  • Provide leadership for the sales and event sales team

  • Personally manage a selection of hotel key accounts and some geographical markets and partnerships.

  • To a clear understanding of the hotels’ revenue objectives and ensure that sales team are fully trained and consistently adhere to strategies in all activity and rate negotiations.

  • Effective use of competitor benchmarking tools to analyse competitor price, competitor past and future performance (market share) and competitive company and agent production to drive sales and business development strategies.

  • To have good working knowledge of sales and commercial systems, including but not limited to Opera, Delphi Sales & Catering, JBI, Salesforce, Fourth, Lanyon, Cvent and Hotelligence and maximise their functionality to ensure efficient processes and procedures in line with Jumeirah standards.

  • Create an empowered and dynamic sales environment in line with Jumeirah’s guiding principles. Display excellent leadership skills in leading, guiding, directing and developing the sales team.

  • Conduct weekly / fortnightly one-to-one meetings with direct reports in order to focus and drive activity plans and provide direction and coaching as required.

  • Manage and develop some key hotel sales accounts in multiple market segments.

  • Ensure that pro-active new business development activity is undertaken by the sales team.

 

 

About you:

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience as a Director of Sales in upscale or a luxury hospitality field.
  • Team management experience required. 
  • Proven track record of success in revenue generation.
  • London hotel market experience essential.
