This December, The Carlton Tower, Jumeirah will reopen its doors after an extensive renovation of the iconic London hotel.

As when the hotel was first opened, the new vision will challenge tradition while remaining faithful to its heritage and architectural legacy. The re-launch will reveal signature interiors combined with exquisite facilities and service standards crafted to show the famed Jumeirah hospitality at its very best.

To receive all goods delivered into the hotel and ensure that they have proper
documentation before receiving them.

Requirements

Key Duties
• To receive all goods according to the correct specification stated in the
purchase order/request and to the standard of the hotel.
• To check prices and extensions on invoices (where applicable), tally
with those on purchase order and bring to the attention of the
• Purchasing Manager any price differences.
• Price differences should be explained to the Purchasing Manager and
credit requests must be prepared if necessary. If, for any reason,
goods have to be sent back to the supplier, a request for credit has to
be filled out upon return.
• Liaise with the Purchasing department as to the arrival of goods
without Purchase Order. If the goods are accepted, record the
delivery in the Receiving Book prior to passing on the document to
• Purchasing.
• Prepare an outstanding order form for goods not received or partially
completed orders and pass on to the Purchasing Department for
follow-up. A copy of the Purchase Order has to be attached to the
delivery document and original should be kept on file until the delivery
is completed.
• Goods received without adequate documentation, a “GRWDN” has to
be filled out and then treated like a delivery note.
• To weigh meat and fish separately and ensure that ice has been
removed before weighing.
• Liaise with the Executive Chef or the Executive Sous Chef with
regards to the quality of items received from time to time.
• To stamp and sign the delivery documents after receiving the foods.
• The printed Purchase Order has to be filled out as to the actual
receipt.
