About the Job:
 
To assist the Director of F&B to plan, organize and direct all processes of the outlet to ensure the outlet provides luxury service that is elevated and consistent and achieves maximum revenue and profit in accordance with the budgeted and forecasted projections.
 
Main Duties:
  • To follow the company’s code of conduct and ethics at all times
  • Actively live and support the company’s vision within ‘Service Beyond Expectations’
  • To be versatile in his/ her approach of working in F&B with a proactive approach
  • Overlook the  F&B operations as and when required
  • Run bar operations and have a full working knowledge of bar operations
  • To assist as and when required in other areas of F&B based on Operations
  • Good working knowledge in F&B with the ability to deliver effective trainings
  • Have a strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and experience for a guest and has the ability to take service to a different level
  • Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Standards.
  • Applies creative solutions and proposes ideas to grow develop and improve the business.
  • Achieves sales and profit targets and enhances the margins through effective stock management and minimizing controllable costs.
  • Conducts regular team briefings and meetings.
  • Ensures the highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
  • Maintains departmental Standard Operating Procedures and ensures that all colleagues have a working knowledge and follow the SOPs all at all times.
  • Ensures that an effective link and communication is maintained between kitchen and service areas.
  • Ensures that all outlet processes adhere to all food hygiene regulations and procedures including all HACCP regulations
  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/ complaints to Senior Management.
  • Actively promotes the use of up selling techniques within outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
  • Actively seeks and reviews customer feedback in regard to food quality, service, and overall satisfaction and takes appropriate and timely action. Looking at ways to prevent similar actions in the future
  •  Takes full responsibility of the outlet.
  • About you:
     
    Qualifications:
     
    •  Degree or Diploma from a well renowned Hotel school
    • Detailed Food & beverage knowledge within a Quality Luxury Brand
    • Track record in working his/her way up to current position (succession plan / development within a Quality Luxury Brand)
    • Internationally trained
    • Fluent in English written and spoken
    • Fluent in Italian both written and spoken
    • International spoken languages is preferred
    • Excellent presentation and social etiquette
    • Physically fit and able to work under pressure
    • Strong leadership and a good motivator
    • A team player
    • High sense of responsibility

    Desirable:

    • Certified in Food and Beverage knowledge (Internationally recognized)
    Experience:
     
    • Versatility in F&B operations
    • Worked in a leading luxury 5 star hotel / brand for at least 4 years
    • Minimum  2 years’ experience in the position of a Manager with a strong beverage background
    • Previous experience in high quality Italian restaurant
    • Proven track record in training and developing staff
    • Excellent knowledge of International cuisine
    • Excellent knowledge of Outlet operations
    • Proven track record in successfully launching promotions
    • Proven track record in successfully launching new concepts
    • Proven track record in training and developing staff
    • Experience in Managing multicultural work force
    • Involvement in a Key Worldwide Market place
       
    Desirable:
    • Experience in Managing multi-cultural work force
    • Involvement in a key worldwide market place
    • Worked within an internationally recognized restaurant concept and/or Chef
    • Proven track record in successfully launching new concepts
