About the Role
 

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef De Cuisine to join the Rib Room-Kitchen team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

 

 

Main Duties:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Must be progressive thinking with cuisine & able to implement such ideas with ease.
  • Property follows 100% HACCP guidelines in the workplace & following these procedures is essential.
  • Engineering Menus & “specials” in conjunction with the Executive chef and/or Executive Sous Chefs. These needs to meet the target market and be in line with the operating concept for the restaurant.
  • To minimize payroll costs by maximizing the productivity and efficient scheduling of colleagues.
  • Assumes responsibility for increasing departmental sales and profit.

 

About you:
  • Excellent management skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with a “hands on approach”.
  • Strong communication is an absolute must.
  • Recognised culinary diploma is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3- 4 years of experience in a 5 star Hotel and top quality restaurant focused operation.
  • Able to handle Steak House outlet or any other Restaurant outlet whilst maintaining high standards and quality.
  • Has Michelin or equivalent experience.
