About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant & Receptionist to join the Lodging department in The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Registering guests staying at EAHM Lodging and manage their check in and out
Dealing with all internal and external customers according to the Jumeirah Hallmarks and Guiding Principles
Carrying out cashiering duties for lodging guests and resident students
Setting up amenities in the lodging studios for arriving guests and new students, and checking studios before guest arrival
- Ensures that the Reception desk is covered at all times
To be fully conversant with EAHM's services and facilities and its departments
Ensures that inquiries and requests are addressed according to EAHM standards
Ensures that the reception desk, reception foyer and the auditorium ante-room are clean and tidy at all times
Ensures that the reception desk display of brochures is regularly maintained and business cards and/or messages left by visitors are passed on to the relevant member of staff or department
Answers and transfers telephone calls in accordance to the Jumeirah Standards
Manages incoming and outgoing mail
Performing other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Management from time to time
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Approachable, good inter-personal and relationship building skills, good communicator to both internal and external clients
O levels or equivalent (Grade 12)
Experience in Hospitality or Customer Service environment
English on a written and conversational level
Attention to detail, able to work under stress, able to handle difficult situations
Able to work in a team and able to build upon strengths and challenges
Working knowledge of MS Office, Opera or Fidelio would be desirable
