About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to assist the Executive Housekeeper ensuring the Department runs smoothly on a daily basis and to a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance.

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will supervise and train colleagues, ensuring the highest levels of standards are met at all times and you will deputise in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. Other duties include; 

·         To deputise in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper

·         To be familiar with the day to day operation on the floors, public areas and store rooms.

·         To have daily walks through public area, valet room, corridors, suites and pantries to ensure that they are in line with standards.

·         Accountable for results on LQA, Medallia and COS.

·         To encourage efficient and effective inter-departmental communication in order to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.

·         To assess and appraise the Housekeeping Team.

·         To be responsible for the proper performance of Housekeeping Team members.

·         To be responsible for the controls of all supplies needed in the department.

·         To be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment used in the Department and to report any malfunction immediately to maintenance.

·         To chair daily/evening team leaders and suite attendant /porter meeting/briefings to ensure full knowledge and responsibilities are shared.


It is key that you are hands on, proactive and happy to undertake duties that would not normally be carried out in your typical every day Assistant Housekeeping Manager role.

With all these roles there is the opportunity to get involved, multi task and really get to understand how a luxury residency operates

About you

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in 5* Hotels or Service Apartments in a Senior Housekeeper or assistant Housekeeping Manager role. 

It is essential you have excellent levels of English. You must be friendly, approachable and professional, trustworthy, Honest and committed to your position.

Personality is the key to these roles, as is a genuine passion for world class personalised service. We want people who are confident, willing to multi task and undertake duties outside of the normal job description, are easy to be around and can really contribute to shaping this new era of Jumeirah living.
