About the Role:
 
An exciting role has arisen for a talented Assistant Human Resources Manager to join the team. The main purpose of this position is to assist the HRM in leading the HR function to ensure we are delivering a consistent level of service to our colleagues, managers and external contacts.  To support in ensuring that colleague morale, motivation and well-being are top priorities and that any and all colleague related issues are dealt with in a satisfactory way for both company and colleague alike.
 
Your key duties will include:
 
  • Manage day to day HR operations.
  • Lead the disciplinary and grievance process and liaise with the HRM for any support required.
  • Support the HRM with HR Audit compliance.
  • Ambassador of Oracle management and any transition.
  • To ensure that the process for recruitment activities are conducted in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Advise and assist managers with recruitment needs, actively participating in screening and behavioural interviewing. All colleagues offered should fit the job profile and have the full potential to succeed in their roles.
  • Support the HRM with workforce planning.
  • Assist with SBU pre-opening recruitment of all levels.
  • Assist the HRM with the on-boarding process to ensure that our joiners have the required information prior to joining and are welcomed to the team in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Actively manage the headcount tracker and compile the HR executive summary including manpower tracker.
  • Assist with organisational change initiatives and ensure effective roll out
  • Adhere to company policy to any new hire or status change request by reviewing budgeted headcounts.
  • Analyse, recommend and assist with implementation of new processes, procedures and methods for HR practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Be able to communicate and administer assigned policies, programs and procedures functionally to the business.
  • Be available to provide coaching support to managers to improve retention or reduce labour turn over and encourage internal promotion.
  • Participate in operation/departmental or project meeting to gain appreciation of colleagues concerns and the development of the business.
  • To assist developing and delivering The Restaurants Group Induction.
  • To schedule and conduct exit interviews for departing colleagues and provide feedback to HRM.
  • In conjunction with the managers follow up on health related issues affecting colleagues.
  • To assist the HRM to monitor HR indicators (HR Statistics, Head Count) to    identify trends and provide recommendation.
  • Communicate in a professional, positive and courteous manner at all times with internal and external customer.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
About You:
 
In order to be considered for this role you will show that you have a Degree in Hospitality related studies.
         
You should be able to demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience at management level in hospitality industry
 
This is a very "hands on" and demanding position so it is paramount that you work well in a team but are also able to set standards and lead by example at all times.  You must be comfortable working under pressure and be passionate about the job of the highest possible standards. 
 
You will have strong written and verbal English skills as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office as strong communication skills are required. It is an advantage if you have an experienced in Oracle Fusion, Taleo, Gantner and Adaco softwares.
