Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishings, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. The resort offers 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Residences and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East. The resort offers Sinbad’s Kids Club complete with splash park, nightlife destination MusicHall and a collection of eight diverse restaurants which offer a vibrant selection of culinary experiences. About the Job:

An opportunity has a risen for a colleague to join our Learnng and Development team in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, for an Assistant Manager. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

 

• Delivery and facilitation of core Jumeirah courses under the Supervisory and Management Excellence series of programmes for JZS supervisors and junior managers
• Oversee the JZS Welcome programme is delivered consistently to hotel standards
• Manages and co-ordinates Management Trainees and Interns
• Ensures team standards are consistent in the “Train and Develop Colleagues” Process and “ Assess Colleague Competence and Performance” Process
• Manage internal and external learning and development communication
• Responsible for Learning Attendance
• Design and develop training materials and courses that are consistent with other JZS and Jumeirah training programmes
• Deliver Trainer development programmes to develop, assess and certify departmental trainers
• Provide learning opportunities for L&D team members to grow their abilities and unleash their talent and potential
• Facilitate and coach departmental trainers and cross trainees
• Conduct departmental training reviews where required
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management. 
 

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Group Trainer Qualified
• Formal relevant qualification or willingness to work towards CIPD certificate in Training Practise
• Be experienced in effectively holding Hotel Training Meetings, Interns & Management Trainee Meetings, L&D Team Briefings
• Experience of working towards an identified budget
• Experience of successfully managing other people
• Experience of using coaching and / or mentoring to support development
• Experience of focusing on monitoring and tracking course attendance and problem solving to identify attendance solutions
• Supervisory Development Series
• Task Trainer
• Group Trainer
• Have experience of delivering SBU Welcome programme
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation focused
• The ability to competently use Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Able to effectively balance competing deadlines for projects, training delivery and demands for professional support and advice
• Practical experience of design and delivery of a range of learning and development activities for both colleagues and supervisors
