Jumeirah Guangzhou is a Development of a Serviced Apartment (168 keys) and a Luxury Hotel (128 keys) that enjoys an excellent location in the Centre of the Business Hub of Guangzhou, Pearl River New City. Facilities include a World Class Spa and Pool complex, a Ballroom, Lobby Lounge, Western and Specialty Restaurants, two Gyms and a Lounge for Serviced Apartment tenants.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • IT Operations for Back of the House and In Room Guest Technology
  • IT Support for Back of House systems and In Room Guest Technology
  • Maintenance and Upgrade of the Hotel Network Infrastructure
  • Budgeting and Monitoring: Monitoring the progress on capital and operational expenditure.
  • Project Management: Managing the IT project management in the business
  • Maintain IT Brand Standards
  • Tendering and Evaluation: Provide advice and guidance to all RFPs. Perform commercial evaluations accordingly, criteria and final negotiations. Prepare total cost of ownership, business benefits, return on investment and pay back studies for all major projects. Ensure the proposed solution will serve the business requirements from both functional and commercial expense.
  • Contracts and Agreement: To develop or provide guidance towards the development of formal SLAs and legalities between Jumeirah and its external parties. Ensure to negotiate a competitive price for Jumeirah.
  • Systems Documentation: Oversee the baseline documentation for all the business systems solution including application settings, configuration set up for the vendor to apply in production and user acceptance sign offs
  • Risk Management: To identify any potential risk and challenges and develop appropriate resolution plan to mitigate the project and operational impact
  • Facilitate quality transfer of knowledge and resources to Operational team.
About You
 
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years working experience as an IT Manager or similar position in a 5 star Hospitality environment. It is desirable to have 5 years of IT Management working experience including budgeting and forecasting, legal accounting and purchasing. It is essential to have a Project Management/PMI certification. A Bachelor degree with a specialization in IT, IS, business, finance, hotel management or related field is desirable.
 
You must be fluent in Chinese, candidates who do not speak Chinese will not be considered. You shall also have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. You shall have good understanding of Microsoft Office products and proficiency in Microsoft Project Server is desirable. You shall have extensive knowledge in all aspects of hotel systems.
