About the job
- To give a warm welcome to each guest arriving and entering the hotel, with a smile and by name.
- To bid a sincere farewell to each guest departing from the hotel and inviting them to return, with a smile and by name if known.
- To call for taxis and open car doors for guests.
- To assist guest with unloading and loading of luggage.
- To assist and co-ordinate with the valet attendants to ensure a clean and free driveway.
- To ensure that all guest are given a friendly, courteous, informative and efficient service.
- To be a source of information to all guests.
- To assist the Team Leader and Guest Service Executives, ensuring that all guest luggage, mails, deliveries, faxes are delivered in a timely, professional and efficient manner, by following the department’s processes, as well as ensuring that they are handled responsibly and with care.
- Ensure that accurate records are being kept for i.e. luggage storage, Check-In and Check-Out, Fax Message deliveries, etc.
- Ensure to adhere to the hotel's policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and security.
- Deals with outgoing guest mail – ensuring that where necessary, charges are correctly raised and passed to the Reception Desk.
- Ensure that direct cash payments from guests (i.e. for transportation, tours, purchases etc.) is handled correctly and according to the procedures in place.
- Performs all other related duties as required or requested by the Front Office Manager or other management.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Hotel Front Office/Concierge.
- Basic Computer Knowledge, i.e. Internet.
- Accustomed to handling customer complaints.
- Cross training in Concierge.
- Working with multi-cultural teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
