Home to eight restaurants and bars, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island has plenty of dining options including an all-day dining venue, two signature restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, a pool and beach bar and a sports lounge. About the Role:
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager to join our Front Office department in Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
 
  • To assist in maintaining and/or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure all Front Office employees adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals
  • To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the Hotel operation, ensuring that all hotel guests and visitors receive and optimum level of service and care at all times
  • To use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the Hotel and / or its reputation
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in supervising the Guest Relation, Club Executive, communications and the Front Desk operations
  • Dedication to quality, hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • To maintain and distribute the staff attendance summery sheet
  • To co-ordinate the introduction and training of new employees. The Duty Manager will also be required to identify training, plans them and deliver to meet needs to all colleagues.
  • To assist the Reception staff in their duties as required
  • To ensure that all reception staff are well aware / trained about their Manual and procedures
  • Supervise the cross training of staff from other departments
  • To report any hazards of health and safety to guests and staff to the Front Office Manager and take immediate corrective action as and when necessary

About you:

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

 

  • Diploma or Equivalent related to the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of the property management systems
  • Works positively with others and contributes actively to promote a healthy team spirit
  • Exceptional People Management skills, able to handle conflict
  • Excellent organization and management skills with a “hands on approach
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • At least 2 years experience in similar position in Front Office
