Job description

•Timely compilation of management and statutory financial statements and reports and maintain consistency and accuracy, timely submission of Annual Report and related document respective statutory agencies.
• Organizing and managing the month-end process in a timely manner and providing perfect accuracy in the reporting of the hotel’s results.
• Manage the company’s cash flow ensuring that all suppliers are paid in a fair and timely manner.
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation and approval of Journal Vouchers.
• Maintain the financial system ensuring that all posting are correctly reconciled and authorised.
• Audit the hotel’s financial practices on a regular basis and ensure that financial risks are constantly reviewed and updated.
• Assist and advise Executive Committee members and Head of Departments in regards to financial issues.
• Assist in Annual Budget, Monthly Forecast and P&L Report variance analysis.
• Prepare and issue SOPs across all the relevant departments, ensuring adequate and appropriate financial controls and performing periodic checks.
• Manage the Finance team performance reviews in accordance with Jumeirah policies and procedures.
•Manage the preparation of special statistical and ad hoc reports, required by management.
•Manage the duties and responsibilities of all the accounting employees.
• Instruct employees on the correct standards and procedures and to handle their problems regarding their daily work.
• Deputize for the Director of Finance during his/her absence and to be fully acquainted with his/her Job Description in order to carry out those responsibilities.

Essential: Degree in Finance & Accounting / Finance Related Qualification
Strong experience in all Hotel Finance functions, including General Ledger Reconciliations, Costings, Procurement, Inventory Management etc.
• Knowledge of Sun Accounting System & Accounting Tools, Opera PMS, Micros Material Control Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Hotel operation background highly regarded
