About The Job:
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance General Cashier to join Finance department in Jumeirah Living WTCR. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:   
 
  • To maintain standard operation procedures in all aspects of day to day work in-order to provide uniformity of works and meet departmental objectives.
  • To prepare invoices and forward to the respective company on daily basis.
  • To prepare the AR aging report on a weekly basis and classify those on the basis of duration
  • To follow up with the company for payment those are overdue
  • To maintain clean and clear records of individual company in order to be transparent and have accountability
  • To prepare all Accounts Receivable journals and post those through SUN Financials
  • To maintain daily banking reconciliations and reports
  • To deposit daily cash sales on a timely basis
  • To monitor cash overages/shortages
  • To exchange foreign currency and deposit cash on a timely basis
  • To maintain payment plans for Service charge payments and purchase credit card transactions and deposit cheques based on the stipulated date
  • To maintain cash clearing account with bank transfer
  • To have sufficient change for the operating departments at all times and provide when required
  • To reconcile credit card & prepare month end journal vouchers in order to post through Solomon
  • To perform ad-hoc projects/duties as required in the Finance department
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Should have Bachelor degree in Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Hospitality Management  
  • Should have minimum three years’ work experience in Financial Accounting or Accounts Receivable
  • Should have work experience with Opera (or other front office system) & Sun System
  • Flexible & friendly approach to owners, tenants, guests and colleagues
  • Problem solving and follow-up abilities
  • Maintains communication with department heads, coordinators and respective teams
