About the Job:
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Manager to join the HR Business Support in Jumeirah Group and Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
  • Support and drive the alignment, consistency and continuous improvement of HR strategy, services & operational practice across the G&C population
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximizing productivity - & measuring the effectiveness of HR service across the business and focus activities to improve customer feedback
  • Work with G&C Department heads to develop their HR skills & capabilities - devolving HR responsibilities and building leadership capability through the middle management teams.
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the HR team in order to increase consistency, knowledge, skills set and share best practice.
  • In consultation with the HRD. Ensure the HR team all have bi-annual personal objectives, formal performance reviews and personal development plans.
  • Build an effective and positive team atmosphere
  • Optimize opportunities to develop and leverage the Jumeirah employer brand (The Place to Shine)
  • Lead the global roll-out of the Colleague Opinion Survey
  • Ensure Colleague Consultative Committee function is deployed effectively – both within G&C and as a global framework
  • Be the champion of the Jumeirah culture across Dubai and UAE operations – ensuring the Company continuously improves colleague engagement.
  • Ensure there is clarity & transparency on internal communications across the G&C population
  • Ensure free-flow of two-way communication between G&C, regional and the SBU HR teams in an appropriate, relevant and timely manner
  • Ensure each department within the G&C structure has the right capability and structure to meet business needs in an effective and cost efficient way
  • Support the business plan and manage organizational change as required to meet business requirements
  • Consult on workforce planning activities in order to optimize staffing levels, productivity and service standards in the most cost effective manner
  • Support the G&C population with all recruitment activity (using Shared Services teams as available) to deliver an appropriate high value, cost effective service.
  • Participate in Executive hiring as required
  • Advise all G&C departments (Globally) on relevant HR policy & labour legislation (based on European Best practice).
  • Ensure all employee relations and performance issues are effectively managed
  • Ensure HR practice across Dubai is compliant with necessary Group standards and necessary legal or compliance requirements
  • Drive  talent management processes in order to ensure talent management is fully embraced and the benefits fully realised across the G&C population
  • Ensure all activities in performance management process are effectively executed so that colleagues have the opportunity to participate, receive feedback and given opportunities to develop.
  • Drive and deploy colleague recognition, reward & engagement activities in accordance with company policies
  • Work within and actively promote the Jumeirah HR Process framework across the business
  • Ensure HR Processes, Policies & Systems are in place and optimised– with relevant metrics in place to monitor performance
  • Oversee the ongoing rollout and optimisation of HR systems - ensuring business needs are identified, met and continually reviewed to support productivity and streamlining of processes
  • Champion, review and implement HR policies across Dubai as required to meet business needs.
  • Manage the Policy Working Group and it’s outcomes.
  • Compiles HR statistics to identify trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources  adjusted accordingly
  • To perform other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
About you:
 
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:  
  • Minimum 5 years in a generalist HR role
  • Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
  • Experience working in Middle East
  • Intermediate level - Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluency in written and verbal business English
  • Effective communicator & influencing skills
  • Highly Flexible & Adaptable
  • Strong business acumen
  • Evidence of inspirational leadership
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion
  • Experienced in deployment of HR systems
