We are currently seeking a Reservations Agent to take room reservations and process all details according to the hotel's policies and procedures to the highest standard until the arrival of the guest.
The successful candidate will be based in the Reservations team however will be trained so that they can 'multi skill' to support the Front Desk, Switchboard and Guest Relations departments when required.
The main duties for Reservations Agent will include but not be limited to the following:
Ongoing support to Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel – Assisting with general reservation agent functions
Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Operations Teams to ensure that Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel VIP Guests are recognized as part of the VIP procedures, including room allocations, amenities and arrival welcome.
Update the Daily Pick Up Report for Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel on a daily basis
Consistently update guest history records using the defined Jumeirah abbreviations and add any new or relevant data as necessary
Process Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel telephone and email reservations according to room and rate availability, and process all details according to the hotel’s policies and procedures to the highest standard until the arrival of the guest, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained and input accordingly into Opera.
Handle all VIP and suite booking requests for Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel and handle ad-hoc enquiries for Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel.
Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times.
Update the Daily Pick Up report on a daily basis and attend morning meetings.
To be full conversant with Opera, reservations and Synxis Reservations System.
Ensure all handover issues and items to be followed up are completed or passed on to the relevant department and resolved promptly.
Liaise with Sales and Banqueting for any enquiries with regard to room reservations and small functions
Cross check the next day Opera/SynXis arrivals report and prepare arrival reports daily for Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum1 years’ experience in a Reservations/Front Office Role in a 4 or 5 star property, and:
Excellent level of English
Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point, Opera (desirable)
Excellent communicator at all levels, both verbal and written
Effective organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks and self-manage a possible demanding workload
Excellent presentation skills
