About the Job:
An exciting position has arisen for an IT Support Assistant, to join the IT Team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient daily IT Support to the Guest & Colleague, ensuring all hotel guests and visitors receive a High level of service and care at all times.
Your main duties will include:
Provides first level IT support to colleagues and guests within agreed SLAs
Responds to guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner
Works within the ITIL process framework ensuring all activities are accurately logged
Monitors the performance of Networks, Servers, Workstations and peripherals and informs the Functional IT Manager of any abnormalities
Maintains an updated IT knowledge to enable continuous improvement to the services offered to users
Shares knowledge with colleagues within the department
Completes projects as allocated by the IT Manager
Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware / software concepts
Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action
Evaluates system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
Places software into production by loading software into computer; entering necessary commands
Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions
Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess a Degree or Diploma in IT related field and Certified CompTIA A and CCNA. At least two-year experience in an environment which requires practical usage of technical skills or in a network company with Hospitality IT Experience.
Strong English written and verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work without direction
