Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forests looking over the fishing town of Port Soller. Its 121 spacious guestrooms and suites, all with private terrace or balcony, enjoy stunning views of the port, the Mediterranean Sea and the impressive Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO Heritage site. The hotel offers two restaurants, four bars, two swimming pools and a Talise Spa. About the Role:


An opportunity has arisen for a Front Office Manager position to join our Front Desk Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Co-ordinate the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
  • Manage the Department’s expenses.
  • Manage the operations of the Front Office Department, by ensuring product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to all hotel guests, according to the organization’s business objectives. 
  • Perform the Human Resources function in ensuring staff selection, training, counselling and recognition programs are adhered to in order to maximize performance standards and to adhere to guest service standards in order to maximise guest satisfaction.
  • Promotes the desired work culture around the core values.
  • To control and supervise all financial activities.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


Qualifications
  • Hospitality Management Degree
Experience
  • Previous management of a Front Office function.
  • Leadership Experience including Performance management (Appraisals and Disciplinary)
  • Experience interfacing with senior-level management
  • Experience preferred in other 5* properties.
Skills
  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality
  • Trustworthy and discrete; high degree of personal integrity
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in internet navigation and searching
  • Generally comfortable with technology and learning to use new applications
  • Highly organized
  • Previous experience with Office organization
