About the job
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Banquet Manager to join the Food & Beverage team in Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
• Ensures that all activities adhere and support to the Jumeirah International Quality Management System.
• Assists to manage and ensure smooth and efficient operations of the department.
• Review and delivers all guest requirements as identified on Banquet Event Orders.
• Studies, evaluates and suggests improvements for operational procedures.
• Delegates tasks to sub-ordinates that are corresponding with their level of competency.
• Ensure that departments performance is in accordance with the department SOP.
• Liases with all relevant departments daily.
• Plans and conducts pre function service briefing.
• Liases with Management of JRSB and other SBUs to arrange additional staff needs for functions.
• Ensures that all machinery and operating equipments are functional and efficient.
• Controls loses and breakages of all operating equipment.
• Carries out inventories of linen, operating equipment and beverages.
• Updates department bulletin board.
• Maintains a safe working environment and ensures that all maintenance work is carried out.
• Identifies training needs and ensures these needs are meet.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Takes responsibility for anticipating and meeting customer needs.
• Identifies opportunities and initiates interaction with guests.
• Respond to guest comments and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Originates cost effective ideas to improve service quality.
• Encourage and recognizes colleagues ideas and suggestion to improve guest service
• Greet the guest before the guest greets them.
• Never say no to the guest.
