Kanteen25 is a large restaurant situated in the heart of Amsterdam here we celebrate good food, connection, young talent, and quality. Your responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen team with a high degree of collaboration and social intelligence
- Seasonal menu creation, development and rollout
- Guide junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Oversee and organize kitchen team, planning and menu development
- Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
- Hire and train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
- Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records, minimizes waste, and works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
- Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards

We are looking for a passionate Chef to take the lead of a diverse team in a French/International kitchen. The newly renovated kitchen is 125m2 full of all the machines and equipment you want: Rationals, pizza oven, bakery oven, dough laminator etc. At Kanteen25 we work with local producers and try to use only seasonal ingredients to keep our menu fresh and flexible. Our team is fun and friendly so we are looking for a motivated and ambitious leader.
